MY PASSION
My passion is helping families live healthful lives. This requires looking at all aspects of functioning (body, mind, and spirit) that can impact health. I am open to different approaches to health management as there are many tools available to choose from. Recognizing the role of diet and nutrition in good health, I am advancing my studies to become a certified health educator.
MY EDUCATION & TRAINING
I graduated from Derby High School in Derby, KS. I earned my BA in Natural Sciences from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD. I graduated from the University of Kansas School of Medicine, Wichita campus and completed my pediatric training at the University of Nebraska Medical Center and Creighton University in Omaha. I served as co-chief resident my senior year. I spent 19 years at Pediatric Associates of Topeka. I then worked as an independent contract physician in urgent care for Children's Mercy Hospital for 1 year.
MY FAMILY
I have been married to my better half, Horace (better known as Dr. Pridgett's husband) for 22 years. We are the proud parents of 4 children. My family is my greatest support system. They motivate me to keep striving for excellence.
